Kent Bowl Youth Scholarships


  1. Points are awarded based on individual achievement in Prep, Junior, Major and Senior Divisions.
  2. Each week, points are awarded based on:
    • Attendance (1 pt per week bowled)
    • Beating your average (1 pt for each game over average, 3 pts possible)
    • Having High Handicap Game for the day (1 pt)
    • Having either 1st, 2nd or 3rd High Handicap Series (3 pts - 1st, 2pts - 2nd, 1pt - 3rd)
    • Additional points are added if you beat your average by a larger number of pins. An example might be: 1 pt to beat your average, 2 pts if you beat your average by 15 pins, 3 pts if you beat your average by 30 pins. The actual levels depend on what division the bowler is in.

  3. Scholarship money is collected from:
    • Weekly bowling fees
    • From fund raising
  4. Scholarship Money will be held by the SMART scholarship program in the name of the top point leaders for Fall and Spring sessions. The money will be held until the boy or girl graduates from high school, and then paid out as reimbursement for higher education school expenses.
